Screen Layout Selection
JDesignerPro offers several types of data screens, including forms and grids. These screens are each built separately, but can be combined in the final system to offer varying views of the data.
Presently JDP offers the following:
- Form Layout - to create a screen for record by record display and update.
- Grid Layout - to create a grid that allows multiple record display and update.
- Combo Layout - to create a master/detail type form that allows updates to detail rows.
- Report Layout - to create a report with grouping, totalling, etc. (Printing not yet available)
- Chart Layout - to create a charts from your data including many popular formats.
Future releases will offer the following:
- Email Merge - to create an email merge screen to directly send customized email from selected entries in your customer database.

To build a screen, click on the tab of the format you require.
